454 Questions questions

Wed Mar 21, 2012, 11:12 AM

NEW

Okay first question, would anyone be interested in buying off me some wire cubes?  I have a set of 4 which I've used once (since they didn't match sizewise to the other set) and have all of their parts for something like $12-15 and I have a set of 6 which has been used roughly 30 times, I do have a couple of pieces missing, I can double check to find out how much, but more more than 5.  Because it is used I was thinking $10-14 for price.  This of course doesn't include shipping though if you come to one of the same cons as me or live close enough to Toledo we can work something out that way.  I want to see these go to a good home.

Next is a question about my art and taking it to ebay.  I tried this once or twice about 8-10 years ago, obviously I didn't know what I was doing and I failed.  But I admit I'm still very scared to put them up there, it takes time to list things up only to not have them sell.  And the last time I tried auctioning them even on here I didn't have any bites.  So, should I spend the time and effort to try selling some art up there or not?  Looking for opinions and ideas, thank you sooo much.

So, I have some start on some Scifi button/badge ideas.  Though I'm always looking for more ideas.  If you want to share any Scifi/fantasy/gaming/old school anime (text, symbol, drawing ideas) feel free to comment or note me, if I use your idea to make something you'll get a free copy of it to display proudly~

[link] My review on Shutocon.  I thought it might be more interesting to do it that way this time.  I'd like to do it more that way, but it's a matter of remembering and actually doing parts AT the con I'm reviewing/recapping.  Hope that you like it as much as I had fun sharing.

Money and :points: commissions: and (I've been having fun doing these, if you know anyone looking for something like this, please feel free to send them my way).

For Sale: they have been updated with Xs so that might help people a little bit when they are looking through them.  Nothing on ebay at the moment.

Are these wire cubes collapsable? I am intrigued. Even if I don't do any more cons, I could use shoe storage. XD

Oh and that is before shipping which is the one thing I'm worried about because it could end up making it twice as much.

They are take-apart-able. As long as they aren't heavy though and you've put them together properly they would be fine for something like shoes. You can see them [link]

Sci-fi would be fun if you included popular items like a ray gun image, robots, and a lot of camp haha. Or you could go the ME route with gritty sci-fi but that's not as fun, I think.

I'm not sure how you'd sell your original stuff on eBay, I've never tried it before. Maybe you can see if others are selling it and then price it accordingly. If you haven't tried Etsy I'd recommend you sell your stuff there, a lot of people I know do well with that; moreso than eBay.

Depends. The ray gun sparked an idea maybe that I can run with.

I have like 6+ sets of buttons up on Etsy that have never sold, they have been up there, I think like 2 years or something.

Hmm well you might need to be more active there in order to sell. My friend always updates hers a lot so she gets more hit and interest. That's what I've found to be useful anyways. =)

That whole needing to pay up front thing really sort of turns me off to the whole site.

Hmm I don't know about selling art on ebay. I can't say I've ever used ebay to purchase stuff like that before though.

Uh... the only sci fi ideas I have this early in the morning would be something related to Star Wars (playing on the 'may the force be with you' idea or something about Yoda's way of talking). Haha...

*nods nods*

Interesting. I do know I want to do a few SW, I'm just thinking I should go more subtle on that one.

Yeah, more subtle ones are probably better. Though I'd be sure to buy a badge that said "I love wookies". XD
